Last sunrise for 2011 before the New Year

I woke up early yesterday morning because of all the moisture in the air. Not sure I have ever seen so much dew anywhere and at about 0400 there was not one cloud in the sky.

As the early morning glow started to happen the moisture quickly became clouds, almost mist in fact and it was quite surreal watching it all develop before my eyes.

This was the first capture from yesterday morning and then I cruised over to Jordie Bay, where there were some equally good opportunities that I haven’t worked up yet.

I hope you all had a great New Years eve and that 2012 will be kind to you. The world is still pretty broken from the excesses that caused the GFC, so lets hope this is the year is the year of everything settling down so that we can all focus on real news stories rather than every day seeing stories about the European debt woes!

  1. Absolutely sensational shot mate. I love the detail all the way through it. I went down to the beach this morning to grab and few shots and had to laugh as there were some people down there sleeping New Years Eve off down there.

    1. Thanks Toneman, Armand and Tim!

Thanks for being the regulars you all are to the blog, for the support over the year and for the comradery as well.

Let’s hope 2012 is a good one for us all.

  2. Nice peaceful shot to end the year. Better than the rainy weather we’re experiencing here at the moment šŸ™‚
Wishing you a happy new year, with lots of photo adventures!

  3. Happy New Year Mark. The sunset images in the previous post are stunning. Hope you have a cracker 2012 and push your passion even further.
