Fremantle and Perth HDR’s

In recent times I have been experimenting with some HDR techniques and on all of these occasions I was out with Mr. Spool, Neal Pritchard.

We had some fun walking around Freo on one occasion and then around the parkland under Kings Park.

I am quite pleased with how these turned out!

  1. I love ’em Markie! I’m a sucker for a nice building shot so I really like the elegant simplicity of the pink one (1 door and 2 windows) and I love the church walls shot (especially all the horizontal lines) – a cracker lacker!

Thanks for your help last night, mate – very much appreciated šŸ™‚

  2. Gday Mark
not over the top HDR as some tend to be and great composition maybe the church could do with a straighten.
2nd one is my pick, simple no distractions and lotsa detail in these grand old buildings.
I would like to see a people or 2 in this walking away from the camera maybe a babe in a red dress or Eastways dancing girl, there is a challenge , give us a dancing girl

Anyway looks like you and Neal had a good time.

    1. Thanks Ric,

      You are onto it mate!

All of these shots have been taken with the intent of putting people in front of them at some stage, but I just thought I would show where I am going with the technique more than anything!

      Thanks for the feedback!

  3. My belief is this is how HDR should look like. Just to enhance. You have mastered another technique. I like the simplicity of the 2nd one.

  4. Looking good Markie Mark. I love what you’ve been doing.
I have been scouting a few places myself but just haven’t actually shot much yet. I will get there and then I’m having a crack at the people. Got my lighting I think and then it should be sweet.

  5. When I get my head above water, I want to head over to your lights and have a play with some models etc (figuratively speaking of course šŸ™‚ )…on the to do list for sure!

    1. Yeh Yeh that’s what they all say, they want to “PLAY” with some models LOL. No worries anytime Mark. Hey next time your out doing some backgrounds let me know and I’ll tag along.
