This image is so typical of the Mangrove forests found in the Kimberley.
On this particular afternoon, Christian Fletcher, Jenny and I grabbed a tender and went off exploring to see what we could find and ended up covering quite a distance in the Prince Frederick harbour.
Mangroves are fascinating and beautiful, although they are rather hard to get your fishing lure out of again. It never happened to me but I witnessed it on our fishing boat 🙂
Actually at one point in thick mangroves we managed to secure the tender totally. In 3 different directions, Ken, Greggy and I got lures stuck, basically tying down the tender pretty good leaving it up to Cookie to get us out again 🙂
I think I saw you in that predicament Flembot…very easy to do and I have been guilty myself! Toneman…yo bro…how was Lake Eyre..lucky bugger! 🙂
Yeah it was great to get back there and see the difference to 2010 🙂
I just posted another to my blog from the trip too.
cheers,
Yep saw it Toneman…will catch up with it properly later!
Now that sounds like some fun! It looks outer worldly with that full looking tide.
