Last post for the year everyone!
Hope you all have a great New Years celebration with friends and family and all the best for the new year.
This one is now my favourite shot from the Castle Rock shoot!
We had some cool cloud build up coming together this evening so Christian Fletcher and I headed out to Castle Rock to see what we could get and we weren’t disappointed!
It started with a great colour show followed up with a lightning storm off in the distance.
A nice way to spend the evening for sure!
We had some sensational weather down South today. This morning I did a run out to Rocky Point and got some inspiration to come back there for a sunset shoot and then had a double bonus of a full moon setting over the water.
With a building swell I was also able to capture some nice little waves coming in.
So, the final scene that came together was Full moon setting, stairway to the moon, a peeling left hander and some sweet light.
Merry Xmas for tomorrow everyone.
I shot this 10 image stitch yesterday on the way into Thompson’s for breaky with my wife Lee Lee.
What I like about this shot is that it is so typical of the daily activities that go on every day at Rottnest, where every snippet of the bay has something going on.
In the foreground there are kids playing on the waters edge, a lady walking along the beach and in the background, there are yachts sailing, and power boats cruising.
This shot is dedicated to my little buddy Flembotaruny, who loves Rotto as much as I do and is now back home in Denmark…hope you like it mate!
As mentioned in a previous post, Rottnest turned it on over the weekend which paved the way for a revisit of one of the classic Rottnest locations, which is the very well known little bay called the Basin.
I grabbed an up and budding photog, Morgan and set off in my trusty tender looking to get some water based shots of the Basin.
The 2 shots are similar, the main difference being one is a single capture and the other is an 8 shot stitch.
Its that time of year again and where did the year go!
Tonight I would like to wish all my wonderful friends, blog followers and associates all the best for the Xmas season and for the New Year that is only just around the corner.
It has been a great year for us that started with my good friend and buddy Flembotaruny and all of our adventures at Rottnest, followed closely with another True North Adventure with mates, Christian Fletcher and Tommy Putt.
The middle of the year saw my boat building company kick into high gear thanks to the passion and dedication from my partner, Jurien and our dedicated team and in more recent times another True North adventure on True North at West Papua.
My photography passion has taken me on an amazing journey over the last 4 years and on that journey I have met so many really cool people. So a big thank you to all of you for your support and encouragement and regular feedback.
Lee and I moved into our new pad a few months ago, which we are loving to bits…such an easy place to live and so cool to come home to every night.
What does 2013 bring for me/us?
A PODAS adventure on True North with Christian and Kevin Raber (who I am yet to me…but very much looking fwd to that) and an Icelandic adventure with Brent Pearson and Neal Pritchard aka Mr Spool!
I am also looking fwd to seeing Evolution Commercial hitting its straps and many other adventures along the way!
North Star Cruises is also shaping up very nicely for 2013 and I have my partner, Craig and his team to thank for that.
I hope you all have some great plans for next year as well…remember…’it ain’t a rehearsal! 🙂
