I am doing a refit on a mates 50ft Pleasure boat at the moment and we will be doing a galley refurb in amongst that refit.
That prompted me to think outside the box for a splashback and have come up with this at 1800 wide and 450 high. It will be printed in high gloss on aluminium by Fitzgeralds and I think the over all concept will work very well!
Apparently the high gloss printing treatment is scratch resistant and heat resistant, so it will work very well for a splash back.
Cool nautical shot mate, done a couple of splashbacks in the past with this sort of material and results have been very well received.
Thanks Andrew. In your opinion is the Aluminium finish the best result for a splash back, or the Acrylic?
Acrylic would be my opinion mate but might be dependant on the image.
What about the heat aspect Andrew…not that there will be much heat….but!
Great idea… I think aluminium would be the way to go. I’d be keen on hearing how it stands up to the test of time.
I will let you know how it goes mate!
How did it work out Mark. (I am renovating our kitchen). Also did you go for aluminum or acrylic?
