From tomorrow I will be off for a few weeks adventure and covering a fair bit of ground in that time.
Therefore my blog posts will be a little less regular than usual, but it is also likely that the new blog posts will be from some exotic locations!
So stay tuned and enjoy the ride with me as I think you will surprised at the ground I will cover on this trip!
In the mean time…stay safe and be good to your mother! 🙂
Some tree abstracts from the weekend…enjoy! 🙂
Another image in the Bluff Knoll theme from last weekends shoot.
Last night I posted a sunrise shot of Bluff Knoll. How different are these shots, which shows just how different the moods can be down there.
You could literally spend half a day there in the right conditions and come away with a CF card full of different moods!
I went down to the Stirling Ranges on the weekend with Greg Ratajczak and managed to time things pretty dam well!
Yesterday we did the climb to the top and made it to the half way lookout at sunrise…tick…and then this morning managed to score some awesome cloud and fog rolling in over the mountains at the sun was rising with just enough gap in the clouds to allow for a ice golden glow as the sun peaks its head over the horizon.
A beautiful way to start the day and we managed a few more epic locations after that as well!
I shot this on the way to Goanna’s the other day and felt that the shot needed a treatment like this to stand out a bit.
Some of these old craggy trees look very majestic against pristine conditions…the question is….colour or Black and White?
It is not often when you come away with a few keepers from one shoot, but on my weekend shoot at Lake Clifton and the Mandurah Estuary, I definitely came away with a few that I am very pleased with.
Every now and then you happen to be in the right place at the right time and as I always have my trusty camera with me, when the planets align for me, I come away with images like this one.
Pretty happy with the overall result here and hope it brightens up your day as well!
A 7 image stitch with the D800E, Nikon 14-24mm lens at 24mm.
Here area couple more shots taken on the little Photog adventure Down South at Goanna’s on Saturday evening.
Out with Christian Fletcher, Paul Pitchugen, Tony Hewitt and Ian Wise.
Christian made a great lighting dude!
