These shots were taken in a similar spot 12 hours apart. The bottom one being late in the afternoon and the other in the morning the day after.
Both shots have some nice colour, but are totally different in the feel of the image.
Lucky Bay Esperence.
A beautiful calm Sunset out this evening, so I headed out just around the corner to the beauty of Bicton Baths.
This is the first of a few captures I am rating from this evenings outing.
I thought this piece was appropriate given the huge focus on surfing this weekend.
Some of the SUP boys having a bit of a battle with the offshore!
I was feeling their pain!
Feeling a bit stuffed after surfing for most of the day, but managed to muster a little bit of additional energy to shoot our next door neighbours new bike against some cool backgrounds around Freo.
The bike is an old classic and I am quite pleased with how they have turned out. Thanks Andrew for being such a great model!
Hope all you other surfers out there managed a few sessions in the green room today!
My large 3m x 2.2m 33 image stitch is now up on the clients wall and they are over the moon with the result.
Its good to see the final vision of the theme of the room coming together.
I am putting together a range of Kimberley images for a client at the moment and ended up reworking this image from a True North Kimberley trip in 2011.
Pretty happy with the result and I am sure the client will be as well!
In a couple of weeks my new underwater kit for my Nikon D810 will arrive in time for this years True North adventures at the Rowley Shoals and a return to the Bizmark Sea.
Next year we have booked to do the Hump Backs in Tonga with Darren Jew and very excited about that as well.
I now feel I am fully prepared to catch the underwater awesomeness at all of these places!
Thanks to Peter Mooney from Nauticam Australia in Cairns for the advice on the kit and also putting it all together for me!
The River’s end!
Where the Smith’s Beach Rover meets the ocean and where the magic starts!
Saturday evening down South was shaping up pretty nicely and Mike’s Ali suggested she needed some Bears shots for the gallery, so down to Bears we headed.
The cloud formations were both interesting and changing during the time we were there and I liked the way this cloud draws your eye into the image…hope you do as well!
A nice colourful start to a foggy morning, complete with foot bridge.
By now the uggies were pretty wet and the fingers were pretty numb!
