Another Evolution Commercial major refit project had her first sea trials today after 2 months of extensive refit work. The vessel’s name is ‘Fine Time’ and is an ex cray boat converted in somewhat of a hurry in the first instance as an offshore support vessel, but has now had a serious reconfigure to make the vessel very much fit for the purpose it has now evolved into.
During this refit, we swapped out the old tired Scania main engines and replaced with 2 new Yanmah engines, overhauled the gearboxes, did major mods to the sheer and added heavy duty fendering, beefed up the stern fendering, added a whole new bow rail system, rectified the aft awing, added more crew seats, sorted out electrical issues, sand blasted the hull and re-laquered the vessel, fitted new shafts and much more.
In just over a week the Fine Time will be relocated back into service at Barrow Island on the Gorgon project.
Well done once again to the Evolution team!
