A Rottnest Xmas Image

Merry Xmas for tomorrow everyone.

I shot this 10 image stitch yesterday on the way into Thompson’s for breaky with my wife Lee Lee.

What I like about this shot is that it is so typical of the daily activities that go on every day at Rottnest, where every snippet of the bay has something going on.

In the foreground there are kids playing on the waters edge, a lady walking along the beach and in the background, there are yachts sailing, and power boats cruising.

This shot is dedicated to my little buddy Flembotaruny, who loves Rotto as much as I do and is now back home in Denmark…hope you like it mate!

Last sunrise for 2011 before the New Year

I woke up early yesterday morning because of all the moisture in the air. Not sure I have ever seen so much dew anywhere and at about 0400 there was not one cloud in the sky.

As the early morning glow started to happen the moisture quickly became clouds, almost mist in fact and it was quite surreal watching it all develop before my eyes.

This was the first capture from yesterday morning and then I cruised over to Jordie Bay, where there were some equally good opportunities that I haven’t worked up yet.

I hope you all had a great New Years eve and that 2012 will be kind to you. The world is still pretty broken from the excesses that caused the GFC, so lets hope this is the year is the year of everything settling down so that we can all focus on real news stories rather than every day seeing stories about the European debt woes!

Longreach Tumbleweeds

Well, what a day!

The man himself, Christian Fletcher announced his retirement from his blog and I must say that I am not surprised by the announcement.

The blog has grown to a point where it is taking him away from the main focus points in his life and his balance in life need to be readjusted.

I feel sure that as a blogging community that we can still interact with each other as we have been doing and that we can arrange some outings where Christian will come along as a guest or something.

I have attached an image that I took a couple of weekends ago at Longreach Bay at Rottnest Island, whilst there the Flemming Bo Jensen.

I am not sure on this one…but it does have some appeal to me…what to the punters think!
