Spring is finally here!

Well, I hope everyone got out and about this weekend as we have finally seemed to have broken to rain every weekend curse that has been going on for the last couple of months.

I have some friends over from the East and we headed down south for the weekend.

Stunning weather!

Chalet Sunset; Rottnest

Longreach Chalet Sunset

Not a bad sunset at Rottnest this evening.

Looks like we are in for a bit of wind over the coming days and maybe even a thunderstorm or 2…..bring it on I say!

We are also having fireworks for New Years eve over here which will be a first for the island, so your truly will be there ready, willing and able! 🙂

Bring on Summer!

Longreach Blues

About this stage every year I start to long for Summer and those magic no wind days at Rottnest.

I am guessing that the spat of cold weather and rain has many other thinking the same, so I thought i would post a very summery image so that we can focus on something to wish for!

As good as it gets!

Sunring Full

Basin Green St

As good as it gets at Rottnest Island today. Very calm, now swell at all, crystal clear water, low tide, soft light thanks to a thin layer of cloud around and awesome conditions for pretty much anything you would like to do on the water!

We started the day with a very cool dive in a new spot I found recently with an array of swim throughs, then off for a snorkel, some crays for lunch and I squeezed a photo shoot in as well!

Montgomery Magic!

Montgomery Blue St

Imagine my glee when PT Gui actually stitched this image and I didn’t have to hand stitch it!

Happy days!

This image shows one of the many moods and colours that you see when spending 3/4 of a day there. It was great to arrive just on sunrise and what the wonderful spectacle of the 300 sq km reef appear out of no where!
