Here is a perspective of Gordon Dam that is a bit ‘out there’ and it is one of my Mega stitches and stacks, so the image is focused all the way through.

The Sentinel Ranges
I had a few cracks at these ranges last weekend and saw the varying moods of the Sentinels .
This particular capture shows the drama mood of the ranges quite well as the clouds were lifting before the next frontal attack.
Vedder Wilderness Lodge and Surrounds slide show
As some of you are aware, we spent last weekend down at the Lake Pedder Wilderness Lodge as guests of one of the new operators down there, Chris Podesta.
Chris looked after us very well and shared his vision for the lodge, which I am sure will be a success, given his drive and enthusiasm.
The video is a quick snapshot of the experiences to be had in the region, but certainly only just that…a quick snap shot!
You can see the video here
Images from Russell Falls
On the way back down from Lake Pedder yesterday, we dropped into Russell falls which were in full swing with all the snow melt further up the river.
The hardest part was keeping the lens dry.
New Photographers Paradise found!
Lee and I are currently in Tasmania as the guest of a wonderful young fella by the name of Chris Podesta and staying at the Lake Pedder Lodge.
Chris and a few of his mates are about to take over the running of the lodge from September 1st and I can just about guarantee all my Photog mates out there that this area is about to become the new Iceland!
I have only been here for a day now and have seen a sweet array of epic landscapes, a small sample of which are posted above in this post.
Chris will be offering comfortable and affordable accommodation here at the lodge from September 1 and will be offering guided photography tours to locations we have found together during my visit.
Down the track a bit I will also be coming back and looking at coaching here from time to time I think as well.
Last night I had the opportunity to take my new Astronomy camera for a run, the D810a supplied to me by Saul Frank from Camera Electronics.
What a weapon that bit of kit is!
I will do a full review of that body as time permits, but for now, I think it is fair to say that the camera rocks and does everything the reviews said it would.
Check out the detail in those stars!
The star shots were shot at 6400 ISO, F2.8 and 20 second exposures….boom! 🙂
I have captured soooo much epic material here in just 24 hours, so plenty more to come!
Stay Tuned!
A couple of images from Russell Falls
Here are a couple of images from Russell Falls in Tasmania. It is a particularly beautiful place and the greens are outstanding.
These Tasmanian Pademelon’s are everywhere around the area.
Thanks to Dave Betini for the heads up on this little critter. He informs me that they are now only found in Tasmania and are extinct in Victoria where they used to also domicile!

Richmond Town River
Another tranquil shot from the sensationally beautiful old Richmond Town in Hobart.
When i first took this scene the sun was out in full force and there was a large very contrasty shadow over this shot.
I literally pinged this off as I was climbing in the car as the light was being filtered by a nice and handy cloud in front of the sun!
